Diamonds from the Rough

Greens are hilly and often multi-tiered

Blue and white tees frequently co-habitate

Fairways have their pasture moments, but greens are lovely

Both nines open with a pair of comfy holes before the treachery begins

Starts off a little hardscrabble, but the layout quickly gets nice as it heads out into the country

Exert care on your approach to the seemingly open par 5 6th – mounding short right of the green can easily pinball you to weedy oblivion.

Some weird routing due to railroad tracks bisecting the course – in case you wondered, trains have the right of way

Game of ski-ball on the house if you pull your approach shot slightly from the fairway on No. 3

There should be a hard hat dispenser at the beginning of the 18th fairway

570-yard Par 5 14th hole colossus ends on a postage-stamp green

Golf has been played on this land for three separate centuries

Splitting the traps on No. 4 requires a nervy little chip

Tee Station Yardage Slope Par Rating
